After great discussions on our E-group a lot happened... As a result some That's what this EQ-website is all about: bringing people together; share information, building contacts... we are proud to see it working! So: 16-18 January 2003 Camp/Seminar for about 100 teachers from the town of Chirala. The organisers of the camp are the Humanist School 'Viveka Vidyalayam', a member of the International Humanist Ethical Union. Their aim is to impart Humanist oriented education training for the teachers. They will address 20% of the teachers in town: the content being promotion of a broadly kinder attitude to teaching, recognition of children and their abilities, equality of treatment in class, unburdening the children in the education process, anti-superstition education, inculcating some socially EI responsible attitudes among the children etc. (so that when they grow up they will be agents of social change). 19-23 january 2003 EQworkshops, clinics and lectures in Bangalore, organised by Usha Gowri. Dhyan Vermeulen was there for participating & clinics. She worked together with Usha Gowri and Jyotsna Srinivasan.
