    Intro & program

    13-06-2004
India-group safely arrived at Schiphol Airport Amsterdam - the Netherlands...

    Dear friends,

As a follow-up of our trips to India, we managed to invite a first selected group of friends from India to come to the Netherlands for visit, further exchange and learning from each other.

This is the result of all the initiatives Dhyan Vermeulen has established.
With help from Hivos and other humanistic organisations in the Netherlands this all has been made (financial) possible.

Hivos (Humanist Institute for Co-operation with Developing Countries) is a Dutch non-governmental organisation which operates on the basis of humanist values. Hivos aims to contribute towards a free, just and sustainable world. The organisation is committed to the poor and marginalised - and to the organisations which promote their interests - in countries in the South and in South-East Europe. Sustainable improvement of their situation is the ultimate benchmark for Hivos's work. An important cornerstone here is strengthening of the position of women in society.
