CO-COUNSELING "We know that all of our decisions come from a blend of thinking and feeling." by Dhyan Vermeulen Ö Tool for co-counseling or coaching on a reciprocally way. From the seventies I am working with co-counseling (CCI). CCI stands for a range of shared practices, based on individual responsibility and self-direction. It is used to manage our emotions, to grow in self understanding, and to develop our human potential. We create a peer based culture of validation and respectfulness to support, discover and express our actual being as well as our human spirituality. By meting Josh Freedman in Woburn park UK he showed me the "Choose or Lose" carts. Sitting in the sun we did the play and I was very enthusiasts. This is a real good tool for co-counseling or coaching, I like it because it makes me aware of some (of my own) patterns of decision making I never saw before, I told him. Josh offered me a set of carts. Now we are working for Dutch and Spanish translation. Ö Introduction "Choose or Lose" by Joshua Freedman and Annabel Jensen. "For generations scientist have advocated that rational thinking is the supreme force in making decisions. In the last decades, however, we've come to learn more about emotions and the way the brain really works. We know that all of our decisions come from a blend of thinking and feeling. We analyse ideas and "make a list" with our thinking, we give them value "rank the list" with our feeling. Some people tend to make impulsive decisions. Others resist in making decisions- which is a decision itself? This tool "Choose or lose" will help you blend your thoughts and feelings to make decisions that are effective." Choose or lose is designed for self exploitation, small group instruction (training tool) or one to one coaching. I prefer this one to one coaching or co-counseling because I need feedback and it is more save to open up in a one to one relation for me. The tool includes a folder with pockets for Think, Feel and Act carts that are used in a variety of ways. On the back cover is a review of the Choose, Do, Evaluate, re choose process. There are also re-minders of the key principles of choosing-as well as space for participation to add their own. Ö Purpose: The choose or Lose cards are used to evaluate decisions and explore patterns of decision-making. The skills you will develop with this tool include Reflection, Consequential thinking, Emotional literacy & Recognition of patterns. Best summerday's, Warm regards, Dhyan P.S.
